Hôtel-restaurant "les Herbes Folles"

We first tried to get a coffee in the morning as there were two customers already sitting outside with drinks, the menu signs were out, doors were open, and so you assume it is indeed OPEN, We waited to be served for a while, but we’re completely ignored by the lady -and eventually were told they were not serving as they were closed. others from our group tried to eat lunch there at 12.30 as food was advertised from 12 noon - but could not get served, not even with a drink, although there were already a few customers sitting outside with drinks. We sat and waited on the wall opposite for the ferry as we had decided to wait to eat in Roscoff - another family came along to the outside seating and were successful in obtaining a drink a few minutes after we had been refused . Out of curiosity We asked them if they had booked but no, they had not . . Its bizarre!!! I can understand staffing problems and if that is the case I am sorry for the proprietor, but please can you have some signage saying that you ARE closed, as this will stop you getting so irritated when people are trying to give you custom Passers by in need of refreshment will know to walk on by and won’t waste their own time waiting for your ‘ irritable “we are closed” explanation when it cl arly looks very much like you are open . , the lady was obviously very displeased to have to keep speaking to people and saying she wouldn’t serve them, but then was randomly serving others who she didn’t know, it really is very odd 🙈😂. so to keep everyone understanding if there is a problem., and perhaps it genuinely is that you have no staff and can only cope with serving one group drinks at a time due To this then . PLEASE put up a large sign in front of the door saying closed . , or put a rope around the patio tables you can’t serve so they are closed off ? so it’s obvious you aren’t open or even ———- shut the door ... ???
